My Story

Let My Own Success Story Be Your Inspiration

I have wondered a long time why my life was full of hard and challenging experiences—maybe you’ve wondered the same thing about your life.

There had to be a purpose.

Throughout my career I was always put in a role where I had to listen to people and their problems and offer them guidance. My reaction was always to make them look at difference perspectives, and it was always very successful.

I decided to become a life coach because I strongly feel that I can be of service to people who struggle with overcoming obstacles in their life and want their lives to be more fulfilling.

I’ve been defined by the sum of my life experiences. I come from a modest upbringing with an alcoholic father and a stay at home mother. My parents divorced when I was 12.

Fast forward to a great career, good husband and lots of travelling.

We decided to start our family. We had 4 children in 4 ½ years. We divorced when the youngest was 3 ½ and the oldest 8.

This was truly the beginning of my new life.

I will always remember that morning, a few weeks after my husband moved out, it suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks that I was now all alone, that I was completely on my own to raise my 4 children.

I would no longer have an extra pair of hands when needed and certainly no emotional support. I had to be both the brains and the muscles of this family. I was now the main provider of a solid foundation to my children’s emotional, social and academic development.

Since my children meant the world to me, I really had to roll up my sleeves and get to work…not only physically but emotionally. I promised myself that considering an imperfect family situation, my children would benefit from both parents’ love and care. I decided that I was going to make it as perfect as humanly possible.

I found that my love and commitment to my children gave me the courage to think that way and it’s carried me all these years.

I went through so many emotions and feeling during those years; I felt hurt, sad, abandoned, betrayed, isolated, rejected, angry, resentful, frustrated, anxious, fearful, lonely, overwhelmed, helpless, incompetent and inadequate, miserable, too selfless, enraged, discouraged, exhausted, intolerant, impatient but always loving and caring.

I learned day by day, month by month and year by year that all things and all changes are possible if you put your mind to it, if you get real and if you take accountability for your actions.

I believed that all those experiences were guiding me toward a better life, a more significant and fulfilling life, a winning life.

It helped me, without realizing it, that I was slowly but surely defining who I really was and what I really wanted out of my life. I learned to be a better person, a better teacher and guide. I also became a better listener and a great cheerleader. I became quite good at motivating my children into action (sports, studies, housework, etc). After all, I was my children’s role model.

I learned that it was essential for me to pay it forward, to find a way to empower people. I became a Certified Professional Life Coach. During my training, I “KNEW” that this is what I was meant to do all my life. I just needed to acquire life experience to bring confidence and credibility to something that I do naturally.

Every time I help someone with my skills, I get so energized and filled with a sense of purpose.

Today I feel: resourceful, confident, determined, thankful, grateful, valuable, worthwhile, alive, strong, tolerant, patient, successful, optimistic, stimulating, secure, serene, relaxed, hopeful, excited, peaceful, joyful, powerful, energetic, trusting, loving, content, respected, proud, brilliant and aware, but most of all truly HAPPY.
